Helpful details to include

If you are reporting a tool issue, include:

  • Your browser and operating system.
  • Whether the file was .heic or .heif.
  • The approximate file size bucket, such as under 1 MB, 1-5 MB, or over 5 MB.
  • Whether preview, JPG download, or PNG download failed.

Do not send private photos, IDs, receipts, legal evidence, medical documents, client images, or the original HEIC file unless we explicitly ask for a safe test file.

Support scope

HEIC Open can review tool behavior, browser compatibility notes, content accuracy, accessibility issues, and layout problems. It cannot repair corrupted photos, recover deleted files, or guarantee that every HEIC variant will decode in every browser.
